"S" Sound
Teeth close together, tongue tip just behind them, air down a groove in the middle.
"Z" Sound
Teeth close together, tongue tip just behind them, air down a groove in the middle.
"R" Sound
Tongue bunched or curled back, sides braced on the back teeth, lips slightly rounded.
"L" Sound
Tongue tip up on the ridge, air flows around the sides.
"TH" Sound
Tongue tip peeks between the teeth; blow gently (voice off) or hum (voice on).
"SH" Sound
Lips rounded and pushed forward, tongue a little further back than S.
"CH" Sound
Start as T or D, release into SH or ZH, lips rounded.
"J" Sound
Start as T or D, release into SH or ZH, lips rounded.
"K" Sound
Tongue tip down, back of the tongue pops off the soft palate.
"G" Sound
Tongue tip down, back of the tongue pops off the soft palate.
"F" Sound
Top teeth rest on the bottom lip; blow (F) or buzz (V).
"V" Sound
Top teeth rest on the bottom lip; blow (F) or buzz (V).
