Refunds & cancellation

Last updated: August 26, 2026

What you are charged and when, how to stop it, and how to ask for your money back. The billing sentences on this page are the same ones shown beside the buy button — they are generated from the price catalogue our checkout charges from, so this page cannot drift away from what you actually pay.

1. What you are charged, and when it repeats

SpeechStep Premium is sold in three forms. This is the disclosure shown before purchase, reproduced here word for word:

  • $6.99/month$6.99, charged today and then automatically every month until you cancel.
  • $39.99/year3 days free, then $39.99. Renews automatically every year until you cancel. Cancel within the first 3 days and you will not be charged.
  • $99.99 onceOne-time payment of $99.99. This does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.

The 3-day free trial on the annual plan is a real trial that becomes a real charge. We say so before you start it, and we say it again here, because a trial that quietly turns into a payment is the single thing people most often feel misled by.

If we ever change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before the renewal that charges the new amount, so you can cancel first.

2. Cancelling

Cancel in one click from the Premium panel on this page. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Cancelling schedules the stop at the end of the period you have already paid for — it does not cut your access short, and it does not refund the current period. Those are two different requests; if you want both, ask for both.

Cancelling during the free trial costs you nothing, as long as it is before the trial ends.

If you subscribed inside a SpeechStep mobile app, the app store is the seller and manages the subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account — we cannot cancel a store subscription for you, and we will tell you so rather than let you believe it has been handled.

3. Asking for a refund

How to ask

Email support@webmobi.com from, or naming, the email address on the account, and say which charge you mean. That is all we need — no form and no phone call.

What happens next

We reply and decide within two business days. Where we refund, the money goes back to the original payment method through whichever provider took it, and how long it then takes to appear is set by your bank or card issuer — typically five to ten business days, which is not a part we can speed up.

What we have not decided yet, and we would rather say so

We do not yet publish a fixed “no questions asked” refund window. Setting one is a commercial decision we have not made, and we would rather leave this paragraph visibly unfinished than print a number we might not honour. In the meantime we look at every request individually and we start from yes — particularly for a charge you did not expect, a renewal after you asked to cancel, or a period when the service was not working. Your statutory rights below apply regardless of what we decide here.

4. Who actually takes the payment

Dodo Payments is our merchant of record and handles tax where it applies; Razorpay handles payments in India. Your card or bank statement may show their name rather than ours. Refunds are issued back through whichever of them took the payment. In-app purchases are handled by the relevant app store instead.

The billing conditions shown before purchase, in full:

  • Prices are in USD. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record and handles tax where applicable.
  • Cancel in one click from the Premium panel on this page. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not refund the period you are currently in.
  • For a refund request or a billing question, email support@webmobi.com.

5. Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law. Consumer-protection law in the EU, the UK and India gives buyers of digital services rights — including, in some circumstances, a right to withdraw from a contract entered into at a distance — that exist whatever a company’s own policy says. Where those rights give you more than this page does, they win, and you do not need our agreement to use them.
