Is the Welcome Session really free?＋
Yes. The introductory Welcome Session is free. It’s designed to help you understand your child’s speech and decide what to do next — there’s no obligation to buy anything.
Is this a diagnosis or speech therapy?＋
No. The Welcome Session is guidance and coaching for parents — it is not a formal diagnosis or a course of speech therapy, and it doesn’t replace a licensed speech-language pathologist where your child needs one. If in-person assessment or therapy is the right step, we’ll help you understand that too.
Who will I talk to?＋
Someone from the SpeechStep team who works on children’s speech. Our speech professionals are SpeechStep’s own team — there is no directory to browse and no profiles to choose between. You tell us what you need and we match you ourselves. The session is about giving you practical direction and a plan you can start at home right away — it is parent coaching, not regulated therapy. Ongoing 1:1 coaching with SpeechStep’s own speech professionals is not open for booking yet — tell us it’s what you want and we’ll come back to you when it is. We won’t take money for it until we can actually run it. SpeechStep does not provide regulated therapy with a clinician licensed in your own country. If that’s the right next step for your child, we’ll say so and point you to your country’s own register of licensed therapists.
